| Abstract |
The kinetics of silver cementation on lead were studied utilizing the rotation disk technique in nitrate solution. The cementation reaction was the first order with respect to silver ion concentration, and the rate determining step was found to be a mass transfer through the liquid film boundary layer. The activation energy for the cementation was calculated to be 3 ㎉/mole. An increase of the reaction rate was found as the cementation reaction progresses, and this is probably due to the turbulance of the solution and to an increase in total reacting area. |
